Two of Cups
And today we have the Two of Cups. As usual, I give Waite’s vision of the card, ie: Love, passion, friendship, affinity, union, concord, sympathy, the interrelation of the sexes, and – as a suggestion apart from all offices of divination – that desire which is not in Nature, but by which Nature is sanctified.
I agree that this card is union, or reunion, and its general meaning is people meeting each other. Will I find a boyfriend or girlfriend and this card came up, then I’d say yes, it seems so. However, I also see this card as two aces of cups together.
The Ace of Cups is the divine nature of spirit and all that is good. The Two of Cups in that sense is someone being brought back to the side of goodness, if indeed they have strayed from the path of righteousness.
